Classwork: Depending on the class students either finished sharing their rock adventure stories or did a review activity to prepare for tomorrow's rock test (or did both)

HW: TEST is tomorrow, students need to study Chapter 3 (notes, triple Venn-diagram, rock cycle, vocab. cards, and look back through the chapter)

Classwork: Students shared their rock adventure stories with the class.

HW: No formal homework over break, but there is a rock test on 12/1 (Tuesday), so students should be looking over their notes, triple Venn-diagrams, and rock cycles.

HW: Rock adventure story is due Tuesday (11/24). Rock test (chapter 3) is Tuesday (12/1).

Classwork: Introduction to The Great Rock Adventure writing assignment (http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AVxVays3l2mcZGN4anNzaHhfNTdjNzZkYmZkNg&hl=en). This assignment is due Tuesday. Students had the period to ask questions, brainstorm, and pre-write.

HW: Work on The Great Rock Adventure and be studying December 1 Rock Test.

Classwork: Students had a sub. today because I was in the media center with student council giving tours. They worked in their text on Chapter 3 Section 4.

Homework: Finish the section notes sheet if they did not already finish it in class.

Classwork: Students continued working on and finished their rock triple venn diagram. 1st period got donuts because they made it to the top of the donut chart.

HW: Look over classifying rock notes and read through sections on igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.

Classwork: Students worked in groups today. Each member had a particular type of rock (igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic) to research. Once they gathered information they compiled the information into a triple Venn-Diagram.

Homework: Study and review classifying rock notes (see 11/12 for electronic copy)

1st and 2nd Period- Slightly ahead of periods 5 and 6. We watched a mythbusters Youtube special.

5th and 6th Period- Pitched their mineral advertisements and got back mineral quizzes.

Classwork: Because I am so nice, students had an extra day to finish their mineral advertisement. They will present on Monday.

HW: Tomorrow is the mineral quiz. Students should be studying and doing practice questions from Chapter 2.
